Sex Offender Information
 
Detective Steven Gorman is responsible for maintaining the Sex Offender Registry database for the Hanson Police Department. This registry is governed by the Guidelines of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board. www.state.ma.us/sorb/
 You are encouraged to check this site for guidelines and information relative to dissemination of sex offender information.
 
There are currently three levels of sex offender classifications:
 
Level 1-     “low risk” offender
Level 2-     “moderate risk” offender
Level 3-     “high risk” offender
 
Members of the public who are at least 18 years of age may request sex offender information for sex offenders living/working in the community. 
Sex offender information request forms need to be completed and left to the attention of DetectiveGorman. These forms are available at the Hanson Police station dispatch desk or the MA Sex Offender Registry Board web site: www.state.ma.us/sorb/
 
The Police Department can only disseminate sex offender information on individuals that have been formally classified by the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board as level 2 and level 3 sex offenders.
